Board grades.
A large variety of board grades are available depending on your individual requirements.
The flutes as pictured are produced in varying strengths and can be constructed in combinations of 2 or 3 flutes.
The most commonly used flutes for standard cardboard cartons are B and C flutes.
B and E flutes are usually used for die cut cartons and displays.
A combination BC (B+C=7mm) flute (often called twin cushion) is used for larger and heavier products or where additional stacking strength is required.
Heavy combinations of flutes.
Heavy combinations of flutes are used to package items such as:
- expensive medical equipment
- pallet bins full of fruit
- white goods such as televisions, washing machines and refrigerators
